I'm sick and stressed out right now... that makes me remember how wonderful good health and happiness are.

Everyone who's healthy and happy, clap your pretty hands! (Pretty hands are a good thing, too.)

Hey, this community is a great idea. Too bad it's not very active... I'll be back to post some of my favorite memories! :)

hardygrrlx: Is this something you can share with the rest of us, Amazing Larry?

PeeWee

I love this movie. I've seen it several times - to the point where I can pick out all the bloopers - and every time it cracks me up.

The mind plays tricks on you. You play tricks back! It's like you're unraveling a big cable-knit sweater that someone keeps knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting and knitting...

Doesn't it look like I'm ready? I am always ready! I have been ready since first call! I am ready! Roll!

I'll say! I'm going to start a paper route, RIGHT NOW!

paradox_hero: imaginations and a stuffed tiger

what about the comic strip calvin and hobbes? that was the greatest. bill watterson is the man. i wish he would come out with some more. or that my parents hadn't gotten rid of all the "old stuff" we "didn't need" for all the times we moved. sigh.

jarbabyj: COLORING APPRECIATION THREAD

When I was growing up, my favorite past time was coloring in coloring books. I think I loved it most because my mom would do it with me, she loved it. If it wasn't so dorky I'd do it now, at 31.

Anyway, I had the big giant box of crayons, but of course they were GENERIC crayons from Jewel or something. I would do a dark outline of the shape to be colored and then a super light shading on the inside. Very nice.

I didn't like really DETAILED pictures to color (like the barbie coloring books) I mostly liked big, basic shapes. DOG AND BALL...FISH IN FISHBOWL.

hardygrrlx: The Wonders of Strong Bad

It may be mere Flash animation of a man who wears a Lucha mask and boxing gloves, but his email adventures always leave me giggling. Found here.

How To Fish

"yes, I'm AWESOME!"

Effects of Caffeine

"Did you say parakeet?"

New hands..

"Like a bucket for a hand will get me any chicks.."

Strong Bad Defines Techno Music

Lightswitch raves for all

It's goofy and I love it. The user icon I'm using is from a Halloween short where one character was Kurt Cobain.

jarbabyj: THE MR. SHOW APPRECIATION THREAD

Just heard an interview with Bob Odenkirk on Steve Dahl and it reminded me of how much I love Mr. Show. If I could get me a PitPat icon, I'd be in heaven.

But my favorite sketch is when Bob is the foul mouthed preacher.

"WHAT IS UP SATAN'S ASS? JESUS IS SAYING: I AM KING SHIT OF FUCK MOUNTAIN..WHY WOULD YOU FUCK WITH ME???"

Awesome.

jarbabyj: THE BLOOM COUNTY APPRECIATION THREAD

I renamed my personal journal "The Continuing Story of Mortimer Dipthong" because I re-read Tales Too Ticklish To Tell last night for the 50,000th time. I know a ton of us love Bloom County.

Favorite Strips? Quotes? Characters? Anyone have icons?
